Kate Eichhorn
Bio
I research the impact of technologies on individuals, communities, and organizations. The author of eight books, including The End of Forgetting: Growing Up with Social Media (Harvard University Press, 2019) and Content (MIT Press, 2022), I am best known for my ability to translate complex ideas about culture and digital platforms into accessible narratives for public, policy, and media audiences.
As a consultant, I provide research, advisory, and strategic communications support to individuals and organizations across industries, including technology, media, design, and education.
In addition to my consulting practice, I am Professor of Culture and Media Studies at The New School, where I teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in media theory, media history, and cultural studies. I have also held key leadership roles, including program director, department chair, and school dean.
A dual US-Canadian citizen, I have worked and lived in cities across North America from Vancouver to Boston. Since 2008, I have called New York City home.
